SOS High School Senior Project

The SOS High School Senior Project Program is SOS’ newest outreach program to assist high school seniors transitioning to college. Each high school senior in the Orange County area is required to complete a project centered on the task of exploring possible career options for their future. Students are required to conduct research on their career choice, as well as two in-person interviews with those who work in their field of study. The project concludes with a student presentation to share their findings in front of a panel of professionals while dressed in business attire.

The SOS High School Senior Project was originally created in order to ensure that students from low income families would be able to procure business attire for their presentations. However, SOS quickly recognized that the need for these students was greater than just professional clothing. The 30 students who are chosen to participate in this special program will be supplied with all of the materials needed for a successful transition into college. All of the youths selected will be the first in their family to attend college. We feel it is important to encourage, support and provide recognition to those who have overcome enormous hurdles in their pursuit of higher education.

We hope you join us by making a positive contribution to the future of each of these 30 individuals. In addition to monetary donations, SOS is also accepting donations of luggage, work attire, bedroom linens, small bedroom appliances, gift cards and electronics. To donate items, please contact Marie Macaulay at 949.270.2188.
