GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine, with a unique social mission... every time you use GoodSearch, money is generated for SOS.
GoodSearch donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities selected by its users. The pennies quickly add up. For example, if 1,000 SOS supporters searched just twice a day, we would receive an estimated $7,300 per year to help fund our programs.
What's great is that you use GoodSearch just as you would any search engine. Again, it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get proven, high-quality results. Click below to begin searching:
Then, enter Share Our Selves in the box Who do you GoodSearch for? (You only have to enter this the first time. Then GoodSearch remembers.)
You can also add GoodSearch to your browser toolbar. See how.
The more people who use this site, the more money we'll earn so please spread the word! Tell a friend!

Consider donating a gift to SOS in honor of a special birthday, anniversary, wedding, or holiday. These gifts honor your special someone and give a gift of caring and hope. SOS invites you to create a new family tradition and share your holiday feast. Consider setting an empty place at your table, representing our Orange County neighbors living in poverty. Ask your guests to make a special Thanksgiving donation to ease the tremendous burden of hunger. Share the details about the devastating effects of hunger in our community. Either print the information sheet or for a copy on heavy-stock paper, contact Karen Harrington at SOS, +1 (949) 515-5400, ext. 31.
Getting married soon? Share your happiness with people in need. Consider setting up a wedding registry with JustGive Wedding Registry and choose Share Our Selves for your registry.
The needs of people in Orange County for basic services such as food, shelter, and medical services continue to grow. According to the County of Orange, the number of homeless in Orange County grew 25% between 2003 and 2004, to 35,000 people.
To help SOS with its mission of assisting those in need, consider making a donation today. Just print the request and send it in with your donation or make a gift through the Internet.
Do you have a car that you would like to donate? Please call Kathleen Bruski at SOS, +1 (949) 515-5400, ext. 32, and your car will be picked up, usually by the next day. Or, if you prefer, you can fill out the attached form and email it to kbruski@shareourselves.org. Thank you.
In an effort to leave a legacy, many SOS supporters have generously placed SOS in their wills. If you have not already done so, we invite you to name SOS as a beneficiary in your estate planning and become a member of our Legacy Society. In the words of one long-time donor: "The local situation is important - we take care of things at home first. It is simple - it is what we do."
If you have already included SOS in your estate planning, we thank you and ask that you let us know so you, too, can be part of the SOS Legacy Society. Please contact Karen Harrington at SOS, +1 (949) 515-5400, ext. 31 or kharrington@shareourselves.org.
Another avenue to support SOS through your estate is the Charitable Gift Annuity. This type of Annuity has many advantages:
The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) provides a Charitable Gift Annuity Program for SOS.
For more information, you can call Steve Marken at the OCCF, +1 (949) 553-4202, or Karen Harrington at SOS, +1 (949) 515-5400, ext. 31.
Simply bring your old cell phones, laptops, ipods and toner cartridges to SOS. All items are sent to eScrip, who recycles them and send the proceeds to SOS. Look for the green donation bins marked eScrip outside the donation drop-off area. Think green and help SOS!
